Pramod Kumar Jain & Company has been operating out of this spot for a good while. There’s always trucks coming and going, and the sound of metal being moved around is just part of the background. We don't have a polished office with air conditioning and fancy chairs. It’s a working yard and a simple desk for the paperwork. Most of the people we see are regulars who have been buying from us for years. We know their names and what they usually need. It's a very traditional way of doing business. We write things down, check the stock, and make sure the loading goes okay. The dust is a constant battle, but that’s just life in the Mandi. We don't spend money on big signs or anything like that. People find us because they know we're here. It’s a family-run kind of feel, even on the days when things get stressful and the orders pile up. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
