Parvez Exports

Our place is on the Sambhal Road Highway, right near the R.T.O. office in Sir Syed Nagar. You can’t miss the trucks lined up nearby. Being on the highway means it’s always loud with engines and horns. We have a lot of crates and boxes moving in and out. It’s an export business, so there is a lot of packing to do. We use a lot of tape and cardboard. The office is small and usually has papers scattered everywhere. We try to keep a system, but it gets messy when we are busy. The ground is mostly concrete and gets hot in the summer sun. We have some trees nearby, but they don't do much for the noise. People drop in to talk about shipments or to check on orders. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the crates. It’s not a fancy office. It’s a place for working. We have a small crew and we’ve been doing this for years. We know the highway rhythms and when the traffic will be the worst. Sometimes the dust from the road covers everything, so we are always wiping things down. It’s a straightforward business. We get the items ready and we send them off. That’s the whole of it. It is just the way we operate here.
