We are tucked away near the Galshaheed Post Office on Prince Road. This part of town is always moving, and we are right in the middle of it. Our shop is small and crowded with all sorts of things we have made or are currently working on. You have to watch your step because there might be a half-finished piece drying on the floor. Being so close to the post office means we see the mail carriers every day, and we often have to navigate around the crowds of people going to send their letters. It’s not a quiet place, but the energy of Prince Road keeps us going. We mostly just focus on the craft and don't worry too much about how the shop looks to people passing by. The walls are covered in old sketches and bits of material. Sometimes I lose track of time when I’m working on a specific detail, and suddenly I realize the sun is setting. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. We eat our lunch right there at the workbench most days. It’s a bit messy and we always have something under our fingernails, but this is our life and we’ve been here a long time. People find us when they want something that wasn't made by a machine in a factory.
