About Asbat Brass – Building & Construction Material in Moradabad
Mugalpura is one of those old parts of town, and our shop, Asbat Brass, is right there by the 1st Lal School. You can always hear the kids shouting and playing during their breaks while we are in here working with the metal. The air around the shop usually smells like hot brass and that stuff we use for polishing. It is a small space, and we have been working out of it for a long time now. We don't have a big neon sign or anything like that to get people to come in. Folks around here just know us because we have been on this street forever. The floors are a bit uneven and the walls have turned dark from years of metalwork and dust. We spend our days shaping the brass pieces and then polishing them until they finally shine, which is the part that takes the most time and patience. It is a lot of sitting on these low wooden stools and using small hand tools to get the details looking right. Our fingers are always stained dark from the metal, and it doesn't really wash off very easy. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when we have a lot of finished work waiting to be picked up. We don't have any marketing people. It is just us and our tools. We take a tea break when the sun gets too high.
