We are located right near the railway station in Linepar. You can hear the trains passing by all day and the platform announcements if the wind is blowing the right way. It is a busy spot. People are always rushing to catch a train, but inside the shop, we try to keep things steady. The machines are a bit old but they still pull their weight. I spend most of my time adjusting the ink flow or clearing out paper bits. There is a lot of grease on my rags. The floor is concrete and has some stains from spills we could not quite get up. We handle a lot of small jobs for the local businesses around the station. Sometimes a commuter will pop in for a quick copy before their train arrives. It gets quite hot in the afternoons because of the metal roof, but we are used to it by now. I have a small radio that stays on a local station just for some background noise while I work. We have a few cupboards filled with old plates and samples from years ago. My brother helps out when things get really crowded. We just focus on getting the text clear and the alignment right. It is a practical business for a practical part of town. We do not have a sign that lights up or anything, just the door being open and the machines running until we finish for the day.
