Meraj Exports

Our office is located over by the Allahabad Bank, the international branch, on Court Road. It is a busy part of town because of the court and the bank. There are always lawyers and clerks running around outside. We deal with exports, so a lot of our time is spent on the phone or filling out forms. It’s a lot of paperwork. You have to make sure every stamp is in the right place or the shipment gets stuck at the port. We aren't a huge company with hundreds of employees. It is just a few of us in a room with some computers and a lot of filing cabinets. Sometimes the internet is slow and it drives us crazy because we need to track a container. The office isn't anything special to look at. We have stacks of documents everywhere and the tea guy comes by twice a day. We deal with all kinds of goods going out of the country. Every day is a bit different depending on what is being shipped and where it is going. We don't really do big advertisements. Most people find us because they need help getting their products across the border. It is just a steady job of managing logistics and making sure the boxes get where they are supposed to go. We stay late sometimes when the time zones don't match up for a call.
