M. K. Exports

We’ve been here at Street No.1 in Nand Colony for a long time now. Most people around Peetal Nagri know where we are because it’s a busy spot. We handle exports, mostly metal stuff since that’s what this area is famous for. There’s always noise from the workshops nearby, but we’re used to it. My cousin started this place years ago and I just stayed on. We spend most of our mornings checking the boxes and making sure the labels are right before the trucks come. It isn't fancy work. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit outside for a bit. The office is small, just a few desks and a lot of paperwork piled up. We deal with different orders coming in, mostly through the phone or someone dropping by. We don’t have a big fancy sign, just the name M. K. Exports on the door. It gets dusty because of the road, so we have to sweep every day. We just try to get the shipments out on time so the drivers don't get grumpy. It's a regular job, nothing too exciting. We know the neighbors and the tea stall guy knows how we like our chai. It’s just how things go here. We keep track of everything in big ledgers even though we have a computer now. It's just easier to flip the pages sometimes. If you're looking for us, we're right near the corner, you can't miss the gate. The dog that sleeps outside is friendly enough.
