At 145-147 Lajpat Nagar, you will find our office for Overseas Trading Corporation. This area is always full of life and people shopping for all sorts of things. We are right in the middle of it all, handling the trading side of business. It’s a lot of sitting at desks, talking on the phones, and looking at lists of goods. The building is an older one, so it has its quirks, like the stairs that creak a bit when you walk up. We’ve been here for quite a while, seeing the market change around us. Some days are slow and we just sit around drinking tea, while other days are so busy we barely have time to eat lunch. We trade in various items, mostly things that come from far away or need to go to other places. Dealing with logistics and suppliers is the main part of what we do. It’s not always exciting, but it’s a living. We know the other shopkeepers around here, and we often chat with them during the breaks. Lajpat Nagar can be a bit overwhelming for some people because of the crowds, but for us, it’s just where we work. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We just focus on getting the trades done and making sure the records are mostly correct. It’s a basic setup with some old furniture and plenty of files.
