Jansons &Company

Jansons & Company is located in Lane 2 of Hayat Nagar. It’s a quiet enough spot if you stay away from the main road. Our business has been tucked away here for years. We don't have a big sign out front, just a small nameplate. Inside, it’s a mix of an office and a storage space. We do a bit of everything, mostly trading and supplying different items. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll often see my brother or my cousins helping out. We don’t have formal meetings. We just talk over lunch about what needs to be done next. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to do it. We are more focused on getting the orders ready and making sure the deliveries are on time. Hayat Nagar has changed a lot since we started, but our little shop stays pretty much the same. We have a lot of old ledgers and papers because we still like to write things down by hand sometimes. It feels more real that way. We aren’t looking to be the biggest company in India. We just want to do right by the people who buy from us. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for years. We know their names and how they like things done. It’s a good way to live and work. We usually close up on Saturdays to rest.
