We've been at the Amroha Gate spot for quite a while now. Being right by the Fruit Mandi and the post office means there's always something going on around here. My brothers and I take care of things daily. It’s a busy place with trucks coming in and crates getting moved around constantly. You get used to the noise of the market early in the morning. We just focus on getting the fruit handled right and sent where it needs to go. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, but we manage. The shop isn't fancy. It's just a practical space where we work. People know us in this part of town because we've stayed in the same spot for years. Most days start before the sun is up. We drink a lot of tea while checking the stock. It’s not an easy job, lifting heavy boxes and dealing with the heat, but it’s what we know. The post office next door is a good landmark for people trying to find us. We don't spend much time on paperwork or computer stuff unless we have to. Most of our day is spent on the floor, talking to drivers and making sure the crates are stacked okay. It is a simple setup. We grew up around these markets, so the smell of the fruit and the sound of the crowd feels like home to us now. It's just us doing what we've always done.
