Out here on Delhi Road in Niryat Nagar, the air is always a bit dusty from the trucks. We have a fair amount of space, which is good because we deal with home items that take up room. The building is solid, but the paint is peeling in a few spots. We don't really mind because the work happens inside. Most of the day is spent checking inventory and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s a lot of walking back and forth on the concrete floors. Our desks are covered in notebooks and pens that usually don't work. We have a small area where we keep the kettle for tea. That’s the most important part of the morning. The traffic on Delhi Road never really stops, so there is always a hum in the background. We have some guys who handle the heavy lifting and some of us who sit with the ledgers. It’s a simple setup. We don't go in for big meetings or anything like that. If something needs fixing, we just fix it. The sun hits the front of the building hard in the afternoon, making it pretty warm. We just open the doors to catch whatever breeze there is. It’s just a regular place where people come to work and then go home to their families.
