HEMKUND EXPORTS

Hemkund Exports is based over at 97, Kothiwal Nagar. It is more of a residential-looking area compared to the big industrial zones, but we make it work for our export business. The building is a regular size, and we’ve converted most of it into storage and desk space for our paperwork. You can usually find a few of us sitting around the main table going over shipping documents and customs forms. There’s always a pile of bubble wrap and tape somewhere on the floor waiting for the next box. Kothiwal Nagar is a decent place to work because it’s a bit quieter than the main market, which helps when we need to focus on complex paperwork. We deal with a lot of international stuff, so the time zones can be a bit tricky for us. Sometimes we are here late responding to messages from different parts of the world. It’s not a glamorous job, just a lot of packing and double-checking addresses. We’ve had some of the same helpers for years now. They know exactly how we like things wrapped and packed. We don't have a big fancy showroom or anything for visitors. If you come by, you’ll just see us working among the boxes and the rolls of tape. We keep a pot of tea going most of the afternoon. It’s just how we do things here at Hemkund. We’ve been at number 97 for quite a while and the neighbors know us well.
