Devdutt Sharma Musical Group

We are located in Gali Number-2 in Moradabad. The area is Mohalla Ram Taliya, and we are right near the desi sarab bhatti. It’s a local neighborhood where everyone knows everyone else. We are a musical group, so our lives are full of instruments and practice sessions. Our space is filled with harmoniums, drums, and speakers. It’s not very organized, but we know where everything is. Moradabad is known for its brass, but we focus on the music. We go out to play at local weddings and small gatherings in the city. Sometimes we travel to nearby villages too. The gali is quite narrow, so we have to carry our equipment out to the main road by hand. It’s hard work but we are used to it. We spend our evenings practicing new songs or fixing the instruments. The sound of our music often fills the street. Neighbors don't seem to mind much. We just do what we know how to do. We aren't big stars or anything, just local musicians making a living. It’s a simple life. We drink a lot of tea while we sit and talk about upcoming shows. If you come looking for us, just ask for Gali Number-2. We’ve been here for years and aren't going anywhere. We just play our songs and hope the crowd likes it. Sometimes we stay up late just talking about music and old times.
