Craft Mart

If you are trying to find Craft Mart, you have to look for Gali No. 6 in Kamla Nagar. We are at K-100, which is pretty close to the Lajpat Nagar side of things. This part of town is always crowded, so it’s a bit of a struggle to get deliveries in and out sometimes. The lane is narrow and there are scooters parked everywhere. Inside the shop, it’s packed from floor to ceiling with all sorts of items. We try to keep a path clear for people to walk, but it’s hard when new stock arrives. My cousin usually stays near the front to help anyone who walks in, while I’m usually in the back counting items or fixing some shelf that’s gone wobbly. We don't have a big website or anything fancy. We just open up the shutters in the morning and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. The light in the shop isn't great, but we know where everything is even in the dark. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and dusting off the shelves. People come in looking for specific things, and half the time we have to dig through a pile to find it. It’s just how we operate here in the middle of the city. It’s loud, dusty, and busy, but it’s our daily routine and we like being part of the market.
