Brassy Arts International

Brassy Arts International is tucked away at 19F, 9/22 in Deputy Gunj. To find us, you have to go behind Gol Khothi, right across from where the Kashish Boutique is located. It’s a bit of a maze in this part of town, but once you’ve been here once, you won’t get lost again. Deputy Gunj is a busy place with lots of small businesses like ours. Our workshop is usually full of noise and the smell of whatever we are working on that day. We don’t have a big storefront with glass windows. It’s more of a functional space where the real work happens. We spend our days handling the materials and making sure each piece is okay. It’s a lot of physical work, and our hands are rarely clean by the end of the day. We’ve been in this spot for several years now. We know the other shop owners on the street and we often chat while we’re getting coffee. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just make things and hope people like them. It’s a small operation, just a few of us doing what we know how to do. We don’t have a big plan for the future, we just take it one day at a time. It’s not always glamorous, but it’s honest work and we are happy with it.
