Bhookan Saran International

Being located on Bhatti Street means you are always right in the middle of all the noise and the crowds. Bhookan Saran International has been operating from here for a long time and we have seen many changes in the neighborhood. Even though the name sounds like it belongs to a big corporation, we are actually just a small group of people working in an old building. The rooms are a bit cramped because we have to store so many files and samples of the goods we trade. Getting around the street is always a bit of a struggle because it is so narrow and full of people. We have grown used to the shouting and the horns honking outside our window. Most of our day is spent on the phone or writing things down in our ledgers. We do not have any high-tech systems here, just a couple of old desks and some fans to keep the air moving when it gets hot. It is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else. We have coffee with the shopkeepers next door and talk about how the trade is going. It is not a polished office with carpets and glass walls. It is just a practical space where we do our work and handle the international trade stuff. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait for it to come back. That is just how life is on Bhatti Street.
