B-14 in Gandhi Nagar is where you’ll find our little shop. We are right on the Rajaram Dharamshala Road in Moradabad. Most of the time, it's just the sound of the machines running and the smell of the toner in the air. We do a lot of photocopying for people in the neighborhood. Some folks come in with just one page, and others have big stacks of papers that take all morning to finish. The shop isn't very large, so it can get a bit crowded when three or four people are waiting at the same time. We have a counter that's seen better days and some metal shelves for the paper packs. Working on Dharamshala Road means there is always noise from the traffic and people outside. Folks are constantly walking by on their way to the temple or the market. We try to keep the machines clean because the dust in Moradabad is really something else. Sometimes the power goes out and everything just stops, so we sit on the stools and wait for it to come back on. It’s a simple business. We don’t have any fancy chairs or air conditioning, just a couple of fans that we keep running all day long. People from the nearby houses and offices know us well. We just focus on getting the copies clear and the numbers right for the customers. It’s what we do every day from the morning until we close up late in the evening when the street gets quiet.
