Our workshop is over in Civil Lines, right across from number 138 in the Avas Vikas area. The building is called Jeevan Madhu, and it’s a decent enough spot for us, even though the traffic can get a bit tight during the late afternoons when everyone is heading home. We make things here, mostly stuff people use in their homes or for various special occasions. It is not a big factory with hundreds of workers. It is just a few rooms where we get the daily work done. I think we have been in this specific spot for about five or six years now. Before that, we were in a much smaller place. Most days you will hear the sound of the machines or people talking about different designs and colors. We don't have a big fancy showroom with bright lights. If someone wants to see what we are working on at the moment, they just come by the office and we show them. It gets a bit cluttered sometimes with all the fabric scraps and materials laying around on the tables, but that is just how it goes when you are actually making things by hand. We try to stay organized, but sometimes a big project just takes over every inch of the floor. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the city. We just like making things that look nice and last a while for the people who buy them.
