Aligarh Clinic

Aligarh Clinic is situated in Jwala Nagar, very close to Lal Masjid. It is a familiar landmark for those living in this part of town. The clinic is small and simple, tucked into the neighborhood where people can reach it easily on foot or by cycle. We have a front desk that gets quite cluttered with files and registers because we still do a lot of things by hand. The chairs in the waiting section are older but they do the job. We see a lot of the same faces every week, mostly families from the nearby streets coming in for common fevers or minor injuries. The walls are painted a plain off-white and there are some health posters taped up here and there. It gets a bit warm in the afternoons, but the ceiling fans keep the air moving well enough. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local clinic where you can get a quick consultation. The staff usually stays until the last patient is seen, even if it’s a bit past the usual closing time. It’s just how things work here. There is no big corporate office behind us, just a few people trying to run a helpful place in Jwala Nagar. We know the local pharmacy owners and often send people over there with their slips. It’s a quiet kind of daily life at the clinic.
