Al Madad Social Foundation

We are out in Moradabad, specifically in a place called Khairkhata. The post office is Sarkara Khas, and the zip code is 244001. Al Madad Social Foundation is based at Mohammad Uwesh’s place. It’s a rural setting in Uttar Pradesh, so things move a bit slower here than in the big cities. We don't have a fancy office building. It’s just a room in a house where we keep all our documents and meet up to talk. The roads around here can get a bit muddy when it rains, so we usually have to clean our boots before coming inside. We are very much a local operation. Most of the people around here know us by name. We don't have any formal business suits or anything like that. We just wear what’s comfortable for the weather. It gets quite hot in the summer, and we rely on a couple of old fans to keep the air moving. Moradabad is known for a lot of things, but out here in Khairkhata, it’s mostly farmland and quiet homes. We spend our time going through local requests and trying to keep everything organized on our old computer. It’s not a high-tech setup, but it gets the job done. Sometimes we sit outside under the tree to discuss things when the weather is nice.
