ABID & SONS is located at Plot No 366, Maqbara, near the Dhobi Wala Phatak. We are very close to the Badi Masjid, which is the best way to find us if you are new to the neighborhood. Our family has been running this business for a long time. It’s a small place, but we have everything we need to get the work done. The area is always crowded and there’s a lot of life on the streets. We hear the calls to prayer from the masjid and the sounds of the trains passing by the phatak. Our shop is full of tools and materials stacked up wherever they will fit. We don’t have a big corporate structure or a bunch of managers. It’s just us and a few helpers who have been with us for years. We handle all sorts of manual work and repairs. People bring us things that are broken, and we see what we can do to fix them. We drink a lot of chai and talk to the people who stop by. It is a very local way of doing things. We don't have a website and we don't do any advertising. Most of our customers are our neighbors or people who have been coming to us since they were young. We just want to do a fair day’s work and provide for our families. It’s a simple, busy life here near the masjid. We just like being where we are and helping the people who live nearby.
