Colonial Concepts

You can find us over at Raj Villa, right behind the Incom tax Office in the Civil Line area. It’s a fairly quiet spot compared to the main roads, which we like. Most of our day is spent looking at furniture designs and different concepts we have going on. The building itself has its own character, being an older villa style. We have a few rooms filled with samples and drawings. It’s not always perfectly tidy, especially when we are in the middle of a big project. The staff here has been together for a bit, so we all know how the other person works. Civil Line is a nice part of town, and being behind the tax office makes it easy to give directions. We don't have a big front desk or anyone in a suit waiting to greet people. Usually, someone just yells from the back if they hear the door. We spend a lot of time on the phone or sketching out ideas on whatever scrap of paper is nearby. It’s a practical way to run things, and it works for us. The windows in Raj Villa let in some good light during the morning, which helps when we are looking at materials and fabrics. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, without making too much of a fuss about it. It is a decent place to spend the workday and we are happy here in this corner of the city.
