Yange Indane Service

Running a gas agency in a place like Mon Town has its own rhythm, and Yange Indane Service is right in the thick of it at the New Site. We spend most of our time dealing with heavy cylinders and making sure people have what they need for their kitchens. It’s hard work, especially when the weather isn’t cooperating or the roads get muddy. Our space at the New Site is mostly just a place to keep the books straight and answer the phone when it rings off the hook. People from all over the town come by or call us when their gas runs out, and we try to get to them as soon as we can. There’s no big corporate vibe here; it’s just us and the delivery guys who know every shortcut in the area. Sometimes the trucks arrive late from the plant, and we have to explain the delay to everyone waiting, which isn't always fun. We’ve got a couple of old benches where people sit and wait while we check their consumer numbers. The office smells a bit like metal and dust, and the ceiling fan hums a lot in the afternoon heat. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the wall, just a calendar and some safety posters that have been there for years. It’s just about getting the work done every day and making sure the stove stays lit for the families around here until the last delivery is done.
