Being located right in the Latghat Mkt makes for a busy day every single day. Public Clinic is right in the thick of the Lat Ghat market area, so there is never a dull moment. You can hear the vendors shouting and the motorbikes revving all day long. It’s a small storefront, nothing that would stand out if you weren't looking for it. Inside, we have a couple of benches that have been here since we first opened up. The walls have a few posters on them, mostly just basic health stuff, nothing too flashy. I spend a lot of my time just organizing the small space we have. It’s important to keep the medicine cabinets tidy so we can find things quickly when it gets packed. The air gets a bit heavy when the market is at its peak, so we keep the door open to let a breeze in. Sometimes the neighbors from the nearby shops come in just to say hello or ask for a glass of water. It feels very connected to the local life here in Lat Ghat. We don't have a fancy reception desk or a computer system that makes beeping noises. It is all done on paper and by hand. People come here because we are right where they do their shopping anyway. It is a humble place, and we don't try to make it seem like anything more than a basic clinic for the market folks.
