Thakur Ruchika Architect

Thakur Ruchika Architect is located at House No.109/1 in Shivalik Vihar, over in Naya Gaon. It’s a residential-feeling area, which makes the office feel a bit more relaxed than being right in the middle of a commercial hub. We work out of this space every day, usually surrounded by blueprints and half-finished models. The house is old but it has a lot of character, and we like the quiet of Shivalik Vihar. Sometimes the stray dogs outside make a bit of a fuss, but mostly it’s just the sound of us working. We don’t have a big sign outside or anything. People usually find us by word of mouth or by looking for the house number. The office itself is basically just two rooms filled with tables and shelves. We drink a lot of coffee while we’re figuring out designs. It’s a messy process sometimes, with scraps of paper and pens everywhere. We don’t mind the mess though, as long as the work gets done. Naya Gaon has its own pace of life, and we’ve adapted to it over the years. It’s nice to be able to step outside and see some trees instead of just concrete. We’ve been here long enough that we know the neighbors and the local shopkeepers. It feels like home as much as it feels like an office. We like it here.
