I work at the Sun Pharma plant over in Mohali. We are located at A-41 in the Industrial Phase-VIII-A area. If you know Chandigarh or Punjab at all, you know this part of Mohali is where a lot of the manufacturing happens. The address is pretty straightforward, right in Phase-8a. It’s a big site compared to the small shops around town. Every morning there is a bit of a rush with everyone coming in for their shifts. It’s an industrial building, so it’s all about utility and getting things done. We have a lot of machinery and lab equipment that needs constant attention. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy decorations. The walls are mostly white, and the floors are kept very clean because of the nature of the work. I’ve been here for quite some time now, and the routine is pretty set. We deal with a lot of regulations and paperwork. The area outside is always busy with trucks and commuters. Sometimes the traffic near the entrance gets backed up during shift changes. We don't have a mission statement hanging on every wall; we just have our tasks for the day. It’s a serious environment because of the products we handle, but the people here are good and we look out for each other. It’s just a major part of the Mohali industrial landscape and a place where we put in our hours.
