Trendy Collections

We are over here in Sector 44C. It’s a pretty normal spot, nothing too flashy about it. Most mornings start the same way with the metal shutters rattling as we pull them up. The dust settles on the glass counters pretty fast so someone is always wiping things down with an old cloth. Trendy Collections has been sitting in this same spot for a while now. You can see our sign from the road if the trees haven't overgrown too much this month. Inside, it’s just racks and racks of clothes. Sometimes it’s a bit of a mess when a new shipment comes in and we haven’t had a chance to put everything away properly. The light inside is a bit yellow, but it does the job. People from the neighborhood wander in, mostly just to look around or see if there is anything new since last Tuesday. We have a small stool behind the counter that squeaks every time you sit on it. Usually, there’s a thermos of tea sitting somewhere. It’s quiet in the afternoons when the sun hits the pavement outside and everyone stays indoors. Then it picks up again when people are heading home. We just keep things moving, tagging items and making sure the hangers aren't all tangled up. It’s a lot of folding and unfolding throughout the day. That’s just how it goes here in 44C.
