Sansee Safety Industries

Our workshop is out in Bhankarpur Village, right in Sec-20 of the Dera Bassi Tehsil. It’s a bit of a drive if you’re coming from the main city, but it’s where we have the space to actually get things made. Sansee Safety Industries has been here for a good bit now. Most of the guys working here are from the nearby areas, so there’s a lot of local talk going on while we work. We make safety gear and stuff like that. It isn't the most glamorous work, but it is necessary. The building itself is pretty plain, just a lot of metal and concrete. It gets hot in the summer, but we keep the fans going. We don’t have a big fancy showroom or anything. If someone wants to see what we have, they usually just walk into the main bay and we show them whatever we’re working on at the moment. Dealing with the local authorities in the Tehsil is just part of the routine. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, so we just take a tea break and wait for it to come back on. We aren't trying to change the world, just making sure the products we send out are solid and do what they are supposed to do for the people buying them. It’s honest work and we’re glad to be doing it here. The village is a good place to be, even if it's a bit dusty.
