Rana Clinic

Rana Clinic is over at No. 659 in Phase 11. It’s a residential area, so it’s mostly houses and a few small shops around us. Being in Phase 11 means we get to know our neighbors pretty well. Most of the people who come in live within walking distance. I like that about this location. It’s not like being in a big city center where everything is anonymous. Here, I know whose grandmother is having trouble with her knees and which kid has a recurring allergy. The clinic is basically just a ground-floor setup. It’s easy for the older folks to get into since there are no stairs to climb. We have a small garden patch out front that I try to keep tidy, though the weeds usually win in the end. Inside, the floor is white tile and we have some simple benches. It’s not a big medical center with different wings and departments. It’s just a clinic. We have a small cupboard for medicines and a table for the checkups. Sometimes the neighborhood kids play cricket on the street outside and a ball hits the wall, but we don't mind much. It’s a lived-in kind of place. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just open the doors in the morning, see who needs help, and try to do a decent job for the community.
