Pvt. Clinic

We’ve been operating Pvt. Clinic here in Mohali for a good while now. Mohali is growing fast, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. The clinic is set up in a way that’s easy to navigate. You walk in, talk to the person at the small wooden desk, and then take a seat. The chairs are mismatched because we’ve added more over time as we needed them. There’s a big window in the front that lets in a lot of light, which is nice on sunny days. A small fridge sits in the back for some of the supplies that need to stay cold. The walls have a few scuff marks from where the chairs have bumped against them. It’s a lived-in space. We don't have a uniform or anything like that; we just wear what’s comfortable for a long day of work. People in Mohali are usually in a hurry, but once they get inside, they seem to settle down a bit. We try to keep things moving so nobody is sitting around for hours. Sometimes the computer system is slow, so we just write things down by hand like we used to. It’s a practical way to run things. We don’t have any big advertisements on the outside, just the name of the clinic so people know they’re at the right place. It’s just a regular clinic for regular people who live around here. Closing time is around six most days and we head home like everyone else.
