About Public Clinic – Medical & Healthcare in Mohali
Down in Kambali, things are a bit different than the busier parts of SAS Nagar. Public Clinic is tucked away here, and it serves as a quiet little spot for the local residents. We don’t have a huge sign or anything that glows at night. It’s just a regular door that stays open during the day. Inside, the space is divided into two small rooms. The front part is where people sit and wait, and the back is where the actual work happens. I usually spend the first hour of the day just dusting the shelves because the Kambali air carries a lot of fine sand. The furniture is mostly wood and metal, nothing very soft or modern. We have a clock on the wall that ticks quite loudly when the room is empty, which happens during the lunch hour. Most of our visitors are from the immediate SAS Nagar area, so we see the same faces quite often. It feels more like a neighborhood hub than a medical facility sometimes. We don't use any fancy language when talking to people; we just listen and do what needs to be done. The floor has a few scratches from moving the heavy chairs around, and the window overlooks a small patch of grass that needs cutting. It’s a very grounded kind of place. We just try to keep things moving and help out anyone who walks in from the street without much ceremony.
