Preachers Training School

We are located right on the Main Market area, along the Zirakpur Shimla Highway. If you know that stretch of road, you definitely know how busy it gets with all the trucks and cars constantly moving up toward the hills. Our school is a bit of a contrast to all that loud noise right outside the gate. People come here because they want to learn how to preach and handle the daily work of a church. It is a very practical kind of place. We have some books, some simple wooden desks, and rooms where people stay while they are doing their studies. Living right on the highway means there is always something going on outside, but inside we just try to focus on the daily lessons. It is not a flashy campus with big lawns. We have been at this 140603 address for some time now. Some of our students come from quite far away, so they live here for a few months at a time while they finish their training. We eat our meals together and spend time talking about what we are learning. It is a lot of reading and practicing how to speak in front of others. The staff is quite small, usually just a couple of us managing the chores and the teaching schedule. We don’t have a big sign with bright lights. Most people find us because they heard about the school from someone else. It is a quiet life for the most part.
