San Houston

Being located at Plot No. 222 in Industrial A, Phase 9, means we deal with a lot of noise and dust every single day. That’s just how it goes in this part of town. San Houston has been operating out of this spot for a bit, and it’s mostly just a lot of heavy lifting and keeping track of what’s coming in and what’s going out. The gates are usually open early in the morning because the trucks start arriving before the sun is even fully up. It’s an industrial area, so nobody is wearing a suit or looking for anything fancy. We have our desks tucked away in a corner where we can see the main floor. The walls have some marks on them from moving equipment around over the years. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the clipboard to make sure the orders are moving. If you walk around the plot, you’ll see stacks of materials and guys working. It’s not the quietest place to spend a Tuesday, but we like the pace. Phase 9 is always busy, and there is always someone looking for something. We don't spend much time on decorations or making things look pretty. It’s more about making sure the work gets finished so we can go home. The coffee in the break room is usually too strong, but it keeps us moving through the afternoon slump.
