Panwar Clinic

Panwar Clinic is tucked away at House Number 4 in Dhakoli, right near the Chandigarh Road. Being so close to the main road makes it easy for people to reach us, but we are just far enough back that it isn’t too noisy. It’s a small clinic, really just a few rooms in a converted house. We have a small desk where we take names and a few chairs for people to sit while they wait. It’s very informal. You might see the neighbors walking their dogs past the window while you’re waiting. We’ve been in Dhakoli for some time. The people around here are mostly working-class folks who need a doctor they can talk to without any fuss. We don’t wear fancy uniforms; usually just our regular clothes and a white coat. It’s a practical place. If you have a cough or a fever, you come in, we take a look, and you go home again. We don’t have a lab on-site, so we send things out if we need to. Most days it’s just one doctor and a helper. We handle the phones, the cleaning, and the patients all ourselves. It keeps us busy but it also means we know everything that’s going on. It’s a simple way to run a clinic, and it seems to work for the people in this part of town. We just keep things moving.
