Lokdarpan Foundation

Lokdarpan Foundation is over at 709, Ground Floor, Omaxe Cassia in New Chandigarh, Mohali. We are near P.O. Tira, which is an area that is growing really fast these days. We moved into this ground floor spot because it is easy for people to find us without having to climb a lot of stairs. The office is pretty simple, just some tables and chairs and a few shelves for our files. We aren't a big agency with a lot of fancy equipment. It is just us trying to keep an eye on what is happening in the local villages and the new parts of S.A.S Nagar. Sometimes the construction noise from the nearby buildings is a bit much, but we just close the windows and keep working. We don't have a polished way of talking about what we do. We just see what is going on and try to be a mirror for the community. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up and we aren't always the best at keeping everything tidy, but we get things done eventually. We spend a lot of time out in the field talking to people, so the office is often empty during the day. We don't have a big staff, just a few local folks who care about the neighborhood. It is a practical operation and we don’t try to make it sound like more than it is. We are just here in New Chandigarh.
