Leighton India Pvt Ltd is located in V.P.O Nakroh, within the Teh Amb area of District Una. Being up here in Himachal Pradesh is a bit different from the big city offices. It’s quieter, and the air is definitely better. Our office is a simple building in the village. It’s not fancy at all. We have what we need to stay organized, but you won't find any designer chairs here. Most of us are local, and we know the area well. Working in Una means we have to be a bit more self-reliant. Things don't always move as fast as they do in Delhi, but they still get done. We spend our days dealing with logistics and project management. It’s honest work. We don't try to sound like some massive international corporation. We are just the people in Nakroh who do contracting. Sometimes the roads get tricky during the rain, so we have to plan ahead. We drink a lot of chai and talk through the daily tasks. We don't have a website with flashy photos. People usually know where to find us if they need something done. It's a steady pace of life. We like the balance of being in a rural area while still handling serious work. There is a sense of community here that you don't find in the big cities, and it makes the workday a bit more pleasant.
