About Kaur Jaspreet Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Mohali
I work out of my office at H.No.575 in Phase-2. It is a pretty standard house that I have converted a part of into a workspace. Being an architect means I have a lot of large papers and rulers laying around everywhere. Phase-2 is a nice place to be based because it is central enough for people to visit without much trouble. I spend most of my time either at my drawing board or on my laptop working out the details for various buildings. It is usually just me here, though sometimes I have someone helping out with the site visits. People come to me when they are thinking about building a new house or maybe adding a floor to their current one. We sit down and talk about what they need, and I try to put it on paper. It is not always a quick process because there are so many details to figure out, like where the plumbing goes or how the light hits the rooms. I have been doing this for a while now and I have learned that things rarely go exactly as planned, but we figure it out. It is a quiet life, mostly focused on the technical side of making sure a building is safe and functional. My neighbors often see me coming and going at odd hours when a project is nearing a deadline. I don't have a big sign out front, just my name and the work I do.
