National Machine Tools

National Machine Tools is located at C-13 Phase 1 Industrial Area in S. A. S. Nagar, right near Chandigarh. It’s a solid building with high ceilings which is good because it gets quite loud when the machines are all running at once. We’ve got some heavy equipment here that requires a lot of attention and regular oiling. The floor is usually covered in a thin layer of metal shavings, no matter how often we try to sweep them up. We work on a lot of different parts, and sometimes the measurements have to be very specific, so we spend a lot of time hunched over the workbenches with our glasses on. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit. Most of us are in overalls that have seen a lot of grease. There’s a small tea stall just down the road where we go when we need a break from the noise. The industrial area is always busy with trucks coming in and out, so there is a constant flow of traffic near our gate. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. Most people find us because they know we’ve been here in Phase 1 for a long time. It’s just about getting the parts done and making sure the machines are ready for the next day’s work.
