Jai Durga Timber Traders is located at Plot No. E1 Phase 2 Industrial Area. You’ll smell the wood as soon as you get close to the gate. We have piles of timber stacked everywhere, from floor to ceiling in some spots. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving logs around with the crane. Our saws are usually running for most of the morning, so there’s sawdust all over the place. We don't worry too much about the mess; it's just part of the job. People come to us when they need specific cuts of wood for their projects. We spend our time checking the quality of the planks and making sure they are dry enough. There’s no corporate ladder here, just a few of us who know our way around a piece of wood. It’s physical work that leaves you tired at the end of the day. We’ve been at this plot in Phase 2 for many years, seeing the industrial area change around us. We don't use fancy sales pitches. If the wood is good, people buy it. We just focus on keeping the stock replenished and the blades sharp. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living, and we’re happy to be part of the local trade. There is always a lot to do, from unloading the new arrivals to helping someone find a specific size or thickness of board. We just get on with it.
