Hotel Waves

You can find Hotel Waves at SCO 21 in Kalgidhar Enclave, right along the Zirakpur - Shimla Highway. Being on the highway means we see all sorts of people passing through, from families on vacation to truck drivers taking a break. The building is a standard SCO setup, and we try to keep it as tidy as we can despite all the dust from the road. The reception desk is where most of the action happens. We spend a lot of our time checking people in, handing out keys, and making sure the rooms are ready. It’s a 24-hour kind of job, so someone is always awake here, even when the highway gets quiet in the middle of the night. The rooms aren't like what you'd find in a five-star place, but they are decent and provide a place to sleep. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea and simple meals for the guests. Sometimes the Wi-Fi acts up or a bulb goes out, but we fix it as soon as we notice. Working here is mostly about being polite and making sure the guests have what they need for the night. We don't have a big marketing team; it's just a few of us taking turns at the desk and cleaning up. It’s a steady rhythm of arrivals and departures that keeps us going every day and night at Kalgidhar Enclave.
