Dukh Niwaran Hospital Llp is located in Sco. No. 2, which is a showroom building near the State Bank of India. It’s a convenient spot because people can finish their bank errands and then walk right over to us. The space is set up like a typical showroom converted into a medical facility, so it has big windows in the front that let in a lot of natural light during the day. We have a front desk that’s usually cluttered with pens, registration pads, and maybe someone’s half-finished tea. The chairs for the patients are basic, and we’ve arranged them in rows to make the most of the floor space. It isn't a huge place, so you can pretty much hear everything that’s going on from the front to the back. We have a small staff, and we all end up doing a bit of everything, from answering the phone to helping patients find their way to the doctor’s desk. Since we are right near the bank, there’s always a lot of foot traffic outside, and sometimes people wander in just to ask for directions. We don't mind much. The atmosphere is fairly relaxed for a hospital, though it gets serious when the doctor is busy with a patient. We’ve got a few potted plants near the entrance that we try to remember to water. It’s a simple, functional place for the people in this neighborhood, and we like it that way.
