New Way Drug-Counselling & Re-Habilitation Center

This center is located in Patti Alam, right near Peer Khana in Alamwala. We’ve been running things here for a bit now. It’s a quiet spot, which is probably good for what we do. Dealing with drug counseling and rehab isn't easy work, but someone has to do it. We see a lot of people come through these doors. Every day is different. Some days are quieter than others. We have a small team and we just try to help as much as we can. The building is simple. We don't have any of those luxury amenities you see on TV. It’s just a place to get better. Living and working in V.P.O Alamwala means we know the local families. We hear their stories. It can get emotional, but we try to keep a level head. We focus on the daily routine here. Meals, talks, and just keeping people busy. It’s a practical approach. We don't make big promises because we know how hard this path is. There’s a lot of manual work involved in keeping the place clean and running. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the water is acting up, typical village stuff. But we make it work. New Way is just our attempt at helping the community. It’s not a corporate setup. We’re just local folks trying to do something useful. It takes a lot of patience and showing up every single day, no matter what.
