Goyal Rexine Store

Goyal Rexine Store is sitting right on Akalsar Road. We are very close to Gurudwara Namdev Bhavan, so it is easy to find us if you are in the area. The shop is pretty much filled from floor to ceiling with heavy rolls of rexine and various kinds of fabrics. It has got that specific smell of new material when you first walk in. We have been here for years, and the place hasn't changed much at all. My father started this business, and now we just keep it going. It is a small space, so you have to be careful not to knock anything over when you are walking between the tight rows of stock. We sell to a lot of local furniture makers or people looking to fix up their old car seats. Sometimes someone comes in just for a small scrap of material to patch something up at home. We do not mind helping with that. We have a big old wooden counter where we measure and cut the fabric. The scissors are heavy and have been sharpened more times than I can even count. Outside, Akalsar Road is usually busy with people going to the Gurudwara or the other shops nearby. We have a small bench outside where we sit when the shop is quiet for a bit. It is a simple life, running a store like this. No fancy marketing, just the rolls of rexine and us. We open when the sun comes up and close when it gets dark.
