Rang Collection

Rang Collection is located right opposite the Shivalla Soodan in the Main Bazar. Being in the Main Bazar means there is never a quiet moment. There are people pushing carts, motorbikes honking, and shoppers everywhere. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We have clothes hanging near the entrance to catch people's eyes as they walk past. The space inside is narrow but we have managed to fit a lot of racks and shelves in there. We spend the day folding and unfolding fabrics for customers who want to see every single option. The floors are swept a few times a day but the dust from the bazaar always finds its way back in. We have a small mirror in the back for people to try things on. It’s a bit of a squeeze when the shop is full. Opposite us the temple area brings in a lot of people especially on festival days. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here and we look out for each other. Sometimes we sit on the steps out front when things are slow and just watch the crowd go by. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun but everyone knows where we are. It’s a hectic way to work but it keeps us busy and the days go by fast. We keep some extra lights on inside because it can get quite dark when the sun moves behind the tall buildings in the bazar.
