J. K. Overseas Company is located at 1002/1 Shiwala Road, which is right near the Old Sabji Mandi. Being so close to the old vegetable market means the whole area is always loud and full of energy. There are trucks, carts, and rickshaws everywhere you look, especially in the early morning hours. Our building is a simple place where we handle all of our overseas trade business. We deal with a lot of different products and complicated shipping details every day. The office is usually a bit of a mess with old ledgers and product samples scattered around the desks. We have been in this spot for a long time, so we are well used to the noise and chaos of the street outside. It’s a lot of talking on the phone and negotiating with people to get goods moved from one place to another. Sometimes the heat in the peak of summer makes the office feel a bit stuffy, but we just keep the fans going and get on with our work. We don't have any big signs or fancy reception areas for guests. You just walk in and find us working at our desks. It’s a practical way of doing things. We know the other shop owners on Shiwala Road, and we often stop to chat for a minute. It’s a gritty, real part of town, and we just focus on the daily grind to get everything done right.
