International Public School

Our school is situated in a place called Sadhu, on the Bahman Wala Road near Talwandi Bhai. It’s a bit of a drive from the main town of Ferozepur, which means we have a lot of open air and space around us. We chose the name International Public School a long time ago, but we are very much a local school for the farming families and townspeople nearby. The school building stands out against the fields. We have a large yard where the kids gather for assembly in the mornings. It can get quite cold in the winter and very hot in the summer, but that’s just life in Punjab. We have a set of buses that go out to all the little villages to pick up the students. The teachers here are practical people. They don't use a lot of big words; they just teach the subjects so the kids can pass their exams and move forward. We have a small library and some science equipment that has seen a lot of use. It’s not a shiny new facility, but it works for us. We focus on making sure the children are disciplined and learn their lessons. You won’t find any corporate slogans on our walls. Just some charts about the solar system and maybe some student drawings. It’s a quiet, hardworking place where we do our best for the community.
