Hotel Samrat

Hotel Samrat on G. T. Road in the New Gulbai Bagh area is a place we’ve been running for quite some time now. It’s right on the main road, so it’s easy to find if you’re driving through. We aren't a fancy hotel with expensive carpets or a huge fountain in the front. It’s just a simple building where people come to stay when they’re on the move. Most of our guests are travelers or people here for a quick bit of work. The rooms are basic but we keep them clean and make sure the fans and lights are working properly. You can hear the trucks passing by at all hours because the G. T. Road is always busy. That’s just part of being here. We spend a lot of our day at the front desk, checking people in and out or answering the phone. There’s a small kitchen area where we make tea for anyone who wants it. We know the shopkeepers nearby and sometimes we stand outside to chat when it’s not too busy. It gets quite dusty with all the traffic, so there’s a lot of sweeping to do every morning. We don’t have a big corporate team, it’s just us doing the daily work. If you need a place to sleep and aren't looking for anything too grand, this is where we are. We just try to keep things running smoothly and help out where we can.
