About Harnoor Engineering Works – Engineering in Moga
Harnoor Engineering Works is situated in Unit No. I, right in Village Jhandana Sirki on the Moga Road. Being out on the road like this means we get a lot of people stopping by who are just passing through or coming from the nearby farms. The workshop is a large shed that stays cool enough in the winter but gets very cold. We have all sorts of heavy tools and parts scattered around. Mostly, we are working on engines or fixing metal parts that have snapped. It is greasy work, and our hands are usually black by ten in the morning. We have a lot of space outside for the bigger machines to sit while they wait for repair. Moga Road is a busy stretch, and we see all kinds of tractors and trucks rolling by. We don't have any fancy computers for our records; we just use a big notebook and a pen. Sometimes a neighbor drops by just to talk for a bit while we work. It is a slow pace in some ways, but we are always busy with our hands. We take our time to make sure the fix holds, as people around here rely on their equipment. When the day ends, we just wash up at the tap and head home. It is a straightforward life out here in the village, doing engineering work that keeps things moving. The dogs usually sleep near the gate.
