Gumber Cold Drinks

Gumber Cold Drinks is located in the village of Kot Ise Khan. This is part of Zira taluka, and it is a place where everyone knows each other's business. Most of the people around here work in the fields. They spend all day under the sun, so they are usually very thirsty when they finish. We have been running this shop from the same spot for a long time. My father was the one who started it, and now I look after things. We have a few plastic chairs out front under a small shade. Men from the village sit there for hours talking about the crops and the price of diesel. It is a slow life, but we like it that way. The shop itself is quite simple. We have a big cooler that we keep filled with bottles. The door to the shop is old and it makes a loud creaking sound every time someone opens it. We don't have any bright lights or big posters. Just a small sign with the name. Sometimes the children come in for a treat after their lessons. We keep the prices low because we know how hard people work for their money here. It gets very quiet at night when the streetlights come on. We close the shutters and go home to our families. It is just a small village shop for the local community.
