We are situated right opposite City Palace, which helps because people usually get lost trying to find us otherwise. The whole yard is usually covered in piles of sand and bags of cement, with stacks of finished interlocking tiles sitting everywhere. We see plenty of people passing by on the main road, mostly truck drivers or farmers on tractors heading into town. Every now and then, someone pulls over to ask about what we have in stock or to look at the different patterns we’ve laid out. We don’t do any of that fancy marketing stuff; we just leave the tiles out where folks can see them. We start work very early to beat the heat, because once it hits mid-afternoon, the sun out on the road is brutal. You just learn to live with the dust and the heavy work.
